A life of ADVENTURE! My name is Lauren Schoeny, I have always been an adventurous girl. I was born and raised in Southern California. When my best friend & I graduated from high school we took a road trip up the coast near Hearst castle. We camped,explored, & didn’t shower the whole week. On that trip we made a pact that if we weren’t married by the time we were 25 we would travel for a year. (Well plans changed because I got married at 23) No agenda, just a couple of free spirited girls conquering the world. After our trip I moved to north county San Diego to attend Cal State San Marcos, to study business and pursue a career in fashion design.
After one year at Cal State San Marcos, I felt the Lord calling me to attend Bible College. I applied to Calvary Chapel Bible College for their extension campus on Kauai. I spent two wonderful years there & graduated with an Associates Degree in Theology. Kauai changed my life, not only is it the place where my faith grew the most, but it’s also where I met the love of my life. Living there was a dream, & will always be a special place for us.
My husband & I decided long ago that having kids wouldn’t stop us from adventuring. If nothing else, life is even more of adventure when kids come into the picture. We now live in sunny San Diego with our two amazing boys. So that’s what we are doing, living a beautiful adventure & enjoying every second of it.
